NUOVA M2 RACING ON THE PODIUM ONCE AGAIN WITH KEVIN CALIA, FINISHING SECOND ASTRIDE HIS APRILIA RSV4 RF. ROBERTO TAMBURINI FINISHES IN FIFTH PLACE FOR THE HOME RACE

Kevin Calia put in another solid performance with his Aprilia RSV4 RF in the FIM Superstock Cup, finishing on the second step of the podium at the Misano World Circuit after a heated battle first with Razgatlioglu and then con Faccani.
Roberto Tamburini struggled a bit more to maintain the pace with the faster riders. After a decent start he lost ground and was unable to maintain the pace that his potential had demonstrated. Roberto rode his Aprilia to a fifth place finish without being able to launch an attack for the positions that count.

Kevin Calia moves up a spot in the championship standings, now lying in third, just sixteen points from the leader. Roberto Tamburini earns eleven points that allow him to hang onto seventh place, just one point behind sixth.

“I had a good start, getting behind Mercado with my Aprilia RSV4 RF, but Razgatlioglu overtook me, causing me to lose other positions. I had to fight hard behind the front three, struggling a lot to get back up with them, but without ever having the pace to be able to stay ahead. I was very fast even with worn tyres. A second place finish is a great result because it reopens the championship, thanks in part to De Rosa and Mercado crashing out. I want to thank the team for working hard to let me bring home another great result and my friends who came out to cheer me on.”

“Another particular race. I had a decent start and then I tried to recover. Up to mid-race I had a good pace, although I was already struggling a bit. Then, from mid-race on when the tyres began to wear, I lost some feeling with the front, which in normal conditions is one of my strong points. I finished fifth, a result that does not satisfy me, so we will try to work even better in the next races to be even more competitive and achieve better results. Many thanks to Nuova M2 Racing for always working hard along with Aprilia Racing.”
