NINTH ROUND OF THE SEASON IN GERMANY
For the ninth round of the season, MotoGP 2018 is preparing to take on the shortest track on the calendar. In fact, it will be the 3,671 metres of the Sachsenring in Germany hosting the next round of the premier category, the last one before a brief summer break. It is a decidedly particular circuit. With only 3 right-handers and no less than 10 left-handers, the German track demands great efforts from technicians and riders alike to find the ideal setup.
Last year, the Aprilia Racing Team Gresini was one of the protagonists in Germany, with Aleix Espargaró finishing seventh after remaining stably in the top 5 during the timed sessions and earning a spot on the third row of the starting grid.
Scott Redding has been on an upward trend for the last couple of races with the clearest progress in the last race at Assen, so the rider is keen to confirm this trend on Saxony soil.
