AFTER BAUTISTA AND BRADL'S GOOD RESULT AT BRNO THE APRILIA RS-GPs ARE ON THE TRACK TO CONFIRM THEIR PROGRESS
Silverstone (UK), 25 August 2015 - MotoGP will take on the fast and demanding Silverstone circuit this weekend, one of the temples of world championship motorsports.
In the last GP at Brno, for the first time in this rookie season, both of the Aprilia RS-GP machines finished the race in the points. It was an encouraging result for Bautista, Bradl and the entire Aprilia Racing Team Gresini who now have the responsibility of making sure the MotoGP project continues to grow consistently.
ROMANO ALBESIANO (Aprilia Racing Manager)
“The Brno race was a positive round in our MotoGP opening season and apprenticeship, but it could have gone even better since Bautista had the pace to move up a few more positions. It's no surprise. From the start of the championship we have been improving in the races and in practice, so we need to try to improve on Friday and Saturday. In order to have a shot at better placements we need to start farther forward on the grid. We have a chance to do this, thanks in part to Bradl's contribution which is now helping us to improve more quickly.”
FAUSTO GRESINI (Team Manager)
“The round in the Czech Republic provided us with some interesting data on several fronts: on one hand Bautista had a good feeling with a new frame, finishing an excellent race, and on the other hand Bradl showed that he knows how to take full advantage of his RS-GP's potential, especially in the qualifiers, confirming that he and Alvaro are able to make a fundamental contribution to the project's development. At Silverstone we expect both riders to be able to give the work we've accomplished up to now a bit more of a nudge forward. The result at Brno confirms that we have taken some steps forward: having both bikes finish in the points is a goal that we hope to repeat often.”
