GERMAN ENDURANCE, DOUBLE PODIUM FOR APRILIA IN MOST

Both Aprilia teams performed well on Czech circuit

With a COVID 19 delay, the German endurance championship finally started the 2020 season on July 12, 2020. On the Czech track in Most, the endurance teams met for the first time this year for the first endurance race. There were also two Aprilia teams who were looking for a challenge against time, opponents and distance.

With the drivers Oliver Skach, Ralph Uhlig and Andreas Scheffel, Aprilia Grebenstein sent his RSV4 on the 4.2km racetrack of Most. The second Aprilia was brought on the starting grid by the ViVa Endurance by Peuker & Streeb team. Daniel Fischer, Hannes Runge and Rüdiger Hauß drove the black RSV4 for the young endurance team.

At the start of the race, Aprilia Grebenstein was able to take the lead very early and did not give up the lead for six hours until the end of the race. In addition, Aprilia Grebenstein was able to claim the overall victory of all classes. All in all it was a superior and impressive performance by the team from Gera.

ViVa Endurance had to face with a challenging start and had to work its way forward with a lot of sweat and even more luck over the distance. Crew chief Michael Rapp chose smart tactics and his crew was flawless that day. Certainly this was the key to 3rd place and this unexpected success.

Finally, both Aprilia teams performed well in a field of very strong competitors at a very early stage of the season. Well done!
Fingers are crossed that the Aprilia family will be back on podium when it comes to the next showdown on August 30th, 2020 at the Nürburgring.
