PODIUM FINISH FOR APRILIA GREBENSTEIN

Last weekend saw the fourth race in the championship for the DLC Deutscher Langstrecken Cup (German Endurance Cup) take place in the Dutch city of Assen. Under optimum racing conditions, the tried and tested team of riders comprising Ralph Uhlig, Andy Scheffel and Jürgen Scheffel embarked on the qualifying session. By the end, the Aprilia team qualified for seventh starting position.

The race on Sunday covered a distance of 500 km and was tackled by 52 teams. Ralph Uhlig started off extremely well and managed to move up to fourth place in just the first lap. By the first pit stop, the Aprilia team were even battling it out for the lead position. The fight for first place continued throughout the entire race distance. At the end of the 500 km, the team were able to celebrate taking second place.

This was the fourth podium position for the team this season and meant that it could increase its lead in the championship by one point to 24 points. The next race in the championship will take place on 2nd July at the Sachsenring circuit.
