THE RSV4 AND CLAUDIO CORTI CONQUER AMERICA
FOR THE ITALIAN DUO, DOUBLE VICTORY IN SUPERSTOCK AND OVERALL PODIUM IN FRONT OF MANY OFFICIAL SUPERBIKES
New Jersey Motorsports Park crowned the new star of the MotoAmerica Championship. It is Claudio Corti, who, riding the Aprilia RSV4 RF of the Houston Superbike team, gained a double class victory in the two races last weekend.
A performance that has access the spotlight on the Italian duo, able to dominate the Superstock category on an unknown track, in torrential rain and standing in front of the more powerful official Superbikes. In the American championship, in fact, bikes with different levels of tuning are set to battle in the race.
Thanks to the overall double third place obtained by Corti, the first between the Superstock in both races, the Aprilia RSV4 RF leaps to head in his strictly standard motorcycle category.
"I lose many positions (avoiding the crashing Jake Gagne on the first lap) - said Claudio Corti after Race 2 - I was scared because I almost hit him. I had to brake hard and almost stop and then restart, but I had to keep concentrated because it was only the first lap. There were 15 laps to go and I kept pushing. After a few laps I saw Hayden Gillim in front of me so I tried to catch him and I did. I'm pretty happy and I have to say thanks to the marshals for cleaning the track and everyone for working so hard the last two nights because I crash. And here we are again and I can't wait for the next race".
