SAVADORI IS ON THE TOP STEP OF THE PODIUM AT DONINGTON TOO. THIS IS THE THIRD WIN IN THE ROW AND AT THE TURNING POINT HE IS DOMINATING THE STOCK 1000 CHAMPIONSHIP WITH HIS APRILIA RSV4 RF.
KEVIN CALIA FINISHES A GREAT COMEBACK RACE IN SEVENTH.

Donington (United Kingdom), 24 May 2015 - Lorenzo Savadori won for the third consecutive time, masterfully interpreting the English track. An excellent release of the clutch at the start placed the Nuova M2 Racing rider in the lead. After just a few laps he increased the pace, managing to break away from the pack of riders behind him, stopping the clock on the fifth lap with the fast lap at 1'29.824. In the second part of the race he managed the advantage he had built up well, finishing ahead of all the rest and all alone in a race where his RSV4 RF had never been hindered by its adversaries. The rider from Emilia Romagna is leading the championship with Aprilia ahead in the manufacturer standings, both more than thirty points ahead of the nearest contender.

Lorenzo Savadori: "I'm very happy to have taken my third win of the championship on a track that I didn't know well, since I had only ever ridden here at Donington six years ago with an Aprilia 125. This win is the result of the excellent work the Nuova M2 Racing team and Aprilia have done. We have established an excellent relationship with all my mechanics and engineers, even a friendship that lets us understand one another immediately. We'll keep moving forward, always giving 100%. I'd like to dedicate this win to a friend of mine, Enrico Manzoni, who celebrated his birthday yesterday. I'd like to thank all my sponsors, Aprilia, my team and everyone who works behind the scenes to let us achieve this great success!"

Kevin Calia rode a comeback rack. Starting from the thirteenth spot on the grid, by the end of the first lap he was already in tenth place. He got stuck in the following pack for a few laps and lost some time when Barrier crashed in front of him. At that point he managed to set a constant pace in the low 1.31, getting closer and closer to the race leaders but it was too late to close the gap behind them. The rider from Imola never lost focus, successfully overtaking three more rivals and finishing in seventh place.

Kevin Calia: "The race went pretty well. I had a good pace and I could have made a play for fifth place, but in the first laps two crashes made me lose touch with the pack. I gained a lot of experience here that will help me to do better and better in the championship. I'd like to thank Aprilia, my team Nuova M2 Racing, my family and all the sponsors who believe in us."
