ENDURANCE, APRILIA GREBENSTEIN DRIVES ONTO THE PODIUM IN MAGNY COURS

The first two races of the European Endurance Championship took place in Magny Cours, France, from 24th to 26th May. This was the third time for the Aprilia Grebenstein Team from Gera.

The qualifying practice session started with the three riders Ralph Uhlig, Andreas Scheffel and Max Enderlein. In the end the team qualified for second place. The first race covering six hours started 6:00 pm on Saturday. Max was the starting rider and was able to take the lead immediately, but the leading position was constantly changing between the Aprilia and Yamaha teams.

After an hour, Aprilia was in second place. When the chequered flag fell, the team could celebrate an excellent second place. Before the second race started at 12 noon on Sunday, the crew had a busy morning preparing the bike for the second race. The race started with bright sunny weather. Max was able to take the lead again at the start. Over the entire race Aprilia Grebenstein was always able to stay in second place up to the finish line.

In the European championship ranking, the team is in second place after two races. The third race is scheduled on the 27th-28th July in Dijon, France. Before that, the team will take part in the eight-hour German Endurance World Championship race in Oschersleben on 9th June.
