Superbike at Lausitzring: Aprilia RSV4 and Savadori lead the field in first practices
The long summer break is officially ended for the World Superbike stars with the beginning of EuroSpeeway Lausitzring free practice on the 2016 German Round, tenth round of the season. After two rounds on the demanding German track Aprilia celebrates the best lap time clocked by Lorenzo Savadori at the end of FP2 in 1'37.449, while Alex De Angelis finished the first day of the Lausitzring with the 12th time in 1'38.356. Team Iodaracing riders, who have not participated in any of the summer practice session on the German track, have used FP1 to get familiar with the layout of the EuroSpeedway, while in the afternoon they have tried to improve their lap times. Progression was both very important for Savadori and De Angelis and the good work done has turned to the pitbox at the end of FP2 in the best lap time of day by the reigning champion of the Superstock 1000. For Savadori this is the second best time in FP2 after the previous one got during the Round of Malaysia at Sepang track, like the Lausitzring never seen before by Lorenzo. Savadori worked in perfect harmony with the technicians of Iodaracing and Aprilia in the box, using only on the last FP2 run the soft rubber with which he clocked his 1.37.449.
