SUPERSTOCK 1000 - DIFFICULT WEATHER PREDICTIONS ARE UNFAVOURABLE FOR THE NUOVA M2 RACING TEAM RIDERS.
A GOOD SIXTH PLACE FOR LUCA SALVADORI ASTRIDE THE TEAM GP PROJECT RSV4 RF
In the warmup session this morning the times were good on a dry track, with Roberto Tamburini third astride the Aprilia RSV4 RF and Kevin Calia reacting to yesterday's qualifiers with a fifth place.
In the race it was a somewhat adventurous start for the Nuova M2 Racing standard bearers, who had a difficult race to tackle in terms of the weather at the third start after no less than two red flags. Tyre choice was complicated with the alternating rain, sun and hail that compromised the end result. Kevin Calia, thirteenth across the wire, brought home three championship points, whereas Roberto Tamburini (nineteenth) was unable to express his talent due to a lack of confidence with the front end.
Luca Salvadori rode to a good sixth place finish astride the Team GP Project Aprilia RSV4 RF. A specialist in the wet, he demonstrated great speed even with the best on the track, proving his excellent and increasing feeling with the V4 from Veneto.
