2019 APRILIA TUONO FACTORY REVIEW: EVERYTHING YOU WANT
“I find that motorcycles, in general, tease out a twinge of a smirk or an acknowledging nod in me, regardless of their shape, size or codification. I enjoy them, as you might assume. There are a precious few two-wheeled contraptions that immediately stir up a level of childlike giddy that many of us haven’t felt since our youth. On the eve of holidays, we can all recall tossing and turning, anxiously awaiting what lay beneath the anointed tree, menorah, or whatever seasonal symbol temporarily housed gifts in your home, and the 2019 Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 Factory is one of those machines that does exactly that.” – Ultimate Motorcycling
The Aprilia Tuono 1100 Factory continues to impress even the most avid riders due to its ability to produce an unmatched package of rider confidence, with consideration of performance and raw emotion, thanks to the Aprilia Performance Ride Control (APRC) advanced electronics systems, its iconic Italian 65-degree narrow V4 engine, and flawless chassis derived from race competition and the RSV4.
This year the new 2019 Tuono 1100 Factory is equipped with an adaptive electronic suspension system with different riding modes that can transform the bike from a city cruiser to a serious track machine. The street mode (A3) will make the suspension softer and soak up bumps for a smother ride while the track mode (A1) will stiffen the suspension and respond faster to heavy braking, acceleration, bumps and elevation change. This all comes together to make the bike feel solid throughout the track or even on your daily ride. On top of the semi-active modes there are manual modes that allow the rider to fine tune their bike to their riding style. With that said compression and rebound is adjustable to rider preference at the touch of a button, through the TFT display, without even taking your riding gloves off.
The Tuono 1100 Factory, continuously a class favorite also showed its capability in the 2019 Pike’s Peak International Hill Climb where it set the fastest time ever recorded on a motorcycle – production or otherwise.
Nic De Sena from Ultimate Motorcycling finishes with “The 2019 Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 Factory has been the champion of the naked bike class and received accolades not just because the engine sounds fantastic (and it does), but because there is no better upright sport machine that gives you everything you want from a superbike and nothing you don’t. If there is any ounce of sport in your blood, you owe it to yourself to see what we’ve been raving about all this time.”
