On its by Peuker&Streeb well prepared endurance aprilia RSV4 RF the ViVa Racing Team could celebrate a successful start in the motorsport season of 2018 on Easter Saturday.
Even when the conditions were sunny on that day in Hockenheim, all the riders of the 67 teams had to face with low temperatures and a lot of traffic on track.
Qualified on fourth place overall the three riders Rüdiger Hauß, Michael Rapp and Sascha Roth who replaced Michael Schürman on short notice due to illness a few days prior to the race, had a magnifint start into the race.
After 2 hours of finest racing and a huge challenge for riders and equipment the ViVas got lead of more than one lap in their class (3 riders, 1 bike).
After almost every 32 laps the team had to conduct a pit stop with its RSV4 containing refueling and if required changing the tires. Without any kind of technical problems or any other issues the young private team was on its way to the first victory of its history. Six hours and forty minutes, 219 laps and 180 liters of gasoline later the bike with the number #469 crossed finish line in first place of the endurance class. Not only the riders even more the whole crew delivered a perfect job.
To put it in a nutshell, the performance of the ViVas was teamwork as its best!
All the hard work during winter time payed off on that day.
Seen as a major step to a participation of the 24h of Le Mans the team is pretty confident to fulfil its dream one day.
