Danish Championship - Slovakiaring

Michael Møller Pedersen wins at Slovakiaring.

This year's first round of Danish Road Racing Championship was run at Easter on the 5,922m long Slovakiaring, Slovakia.
Here, Michael Møller Pedersen with his Aprilia RSV4 RF was participant in the Superbike class, where he was trying to recover after a long winter break.

3rd place in race one and a 1st place in race two in the Superbike class.
The races were held on Slovakiaring with a track length of 5922 m.
Zenergy Racing was the organizer and with a total of 343 riders from many countries in Europe, the classes were well-stocked. The air and track temperature was very low and with rain showers Thursday, and periodically small drip for the rest of the weekend, it posed challenges for the riders, resulting in many crashes due to the low asphalt temperature.
For Saturday's race, which was also the first race of the Danish Championship series, Michael would start from the 6th position in the 48-man field.
Michael got off well and was in the third place after Simon Tirsgaard and Steven Tirsgaard.

Sunday (race 2) Michael Møller Pedersen was to start from 3rd position. Here made a great start with his Aprilia and was able to enter turn one in 1st position. Along the race, Michael increased the distance to the competitors and came as the first man to the checkered flag with a lead of 2,658 seconds and the fastest laptime at 2.08.647.

Michael said: "Today's victory definitely did not come easy, but after a lot of attempts with setup and tire selection over the four days, I finally managed to find a very good" feeling "with the bike. I started from 3rd and led the race from the first corner, after which I managed to build a convincing lead to the 2nd place before the checkered flag."

Michael's best time was an improvement in just over 3 seconds since he was on the track in 2013.
"I am very pleased with the result and I am looking forward to the next round at Mantorp Park in Sweden, where I will try to do just as well as this weekend!"
The overall positions after the first two races is led by Simon Tirsgaard with 45 points, Michael Møller Pedersen in second place with 41 points, Steven Tirsgaard in third place with 36 points and Rene Prang in fourth place with 24 points.
