Eugene Laverty - Northern Ireland - #50

Born in Toome on 3 June, 1986, Eugene shares his passion for racing with brothers Michael and John, also professional riders. He began his career as a wildcard in Grand Prix Motorcycle Racing 125 class in 2004, then focusing on the British championship before racing in the 250 World Championship for an entire season in 2007.

He moved over to the championship for factory derivative bikes in 2009 in the World Supersport 600, taking his first win on his début and ranking second overall at the end of the season.

He was runner-up in his category once again in 2010, with 8 wins, 5 pole positions and 10 podiums. The results he achieved allowed him to move up to Superbike in 2011, where he won two races and finished fourth in the standings.

His history with Aprilia began the following year astride the RSV4. From 2012 to 2013 he took 10 wins, battling for the title down to the final race.

After a brief stint in MotoGP, Eugene returned to the Aprilia World Superbike camp in 2017.
