THIRD WIN OF THE SEASON FOR APRILIA GREBENSTEIN.

Last Sunday the sixth and last race of the German DLC Long-Distance Cup was held in Oschersleben. This time the race covered a distance of 1,000 km in 273 laps. After winning the championship early, the team wanted to have a say once again in the victory. The qualifying session for the starting line-up took place under the pouring rain on Saturday. The riders of the Aprilia team decided not to run any risks and qualified in sixth place out of a starting field of 52 opponents.

On the day of the race the weather was changing for the better and the clear skies made it possible to start the race in dry conditions. Our rider Ralph Uhlig had a great start and was already in the lead at the first curve and stayed there until the first pit stop. The Aprilia team was able to keep the lead over the entire race distance despite a bad front tyre forced the team to make an extra pit stop. When the chequered flag fell, it was the team’s third win out of six races.
