STREET-LEGAL APRILIA BY AKRAPOVIC
(COMPLETE STREET LEGAL DOUBLE EXHAUST PIPE)
Already presented in 2004, it is the founder of the
“street legal” gamut of sporty exhaust
pipes.
Approved* and equipped with the official certificate of confirmation, it is allowed
to travel in complete tranquility along any road and reaches elevated track performances,
removing the dB killer system with a simple screw**. The silencers are constructed
in the same technical process of the 2003 “free” racing version and
thus offer the same performances.
This group of exhaust pipes is perfectly adapted
for the indicated Aprilia model, given the presence
of the dedicated EPROM***. The super-EPROM RSV TITANIUM
is composed of an EPROM (Electrical Programmable
Read-Only memory) and of a module that protects the
motorcycle’s date. This module was projected
to guarantee the maximum protection against tampering
with the 32,000 bits of injection and ignition data
which compose the mapping of the chip dedicated to
this silencer.
The titanium silencers, the lateral, central, frontal,
and posterior steel inox manifold set, and the carbon
stirrups allow for a sensible reduction of
weight (25.6% for the ’01-’03 RSV 1000
and Tuono; 37.9% for the ’04-’05 RSV
1000).

*The official recognition can be verified by the
laser mark placed on the bottom of the exhaust pipe
showing the initials E1 0489. The validation of this
exhaust pipe apparatus is valid in countries where
the CEE validation norms are in placement. The exhaust
pipe kits are set with certificates of recognition
testifying their respecting of the regulations in
force and the characteristics of the vehicle.
**The removal of the screws causes the decaying of
the certificate, but the reduction device can still
be remounted using the same screws, hence returning
within the phonometric limits required by law.
***Except for the 2004-2005RSV 1000 M.Y. The optimal
configuration for the exhaust pipes is achieved via
the mapping dedicated to the electronic system which
can be activated using the diagnostic instruments
offered by the Aprilia Support System.
